INCREASING THE ADAPTABILITY OF TRADESMEN AND CRAFTSMEN (ADAPTESK)

ADAPTESK

Ankara, Gaziantep, Bursa, Manisa, Mersin, Şanlıurfa, Erzurum, Ordu within the scope of the European Union grant-funded Human Resources Development Operational Program, of which the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) is the beneficiary and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security is the program authority. Since the "ADAPTESK Project on Increasing the Adaptability of Tradesmen and Craftsmen" to be implemented in 8 pilot provinces will be carried out by the Gaziantep Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chambers Association (GESOB), a meeting was held at the GESOB Service Building in order to inform the public.

Ali BOLATKIRAN, Chairman of the Board of Directors of our Union Ömer KÜSBEOĞLU, Members of the Management, Audit and Disciplinary Board, Technical Support Team Experts of the Project Micheal B. Dan, Liesl A Project Introduction Meeting was held in the GESOB Meeting Hall with the participation of Muench, Jove Jankulovski, our Chamber Presidents, and our local and national press.

In the presentation about the project content made by Project Coordinator M. İhsan ERCAN; It has been stated that within the scope of the project, it is aimed for 23,250 Tradesmen and Craftsmen across the country to directly benefit from the project by receiving professional, personal development training and consultancy services within a period of 23 months, and the project budget is 6.2 million euros. 85% of this budget is from EU grants and 15% is national contribution.

Within the scope of the project, a complete woodworking training workshop, including CNC and other basic benches, 1 wood design laboratory with 21 computers, 2 classrooms were established in our GESOB Vocational Training Centers, and training programs are planned to start from the beginning of 2016, and for this purpose, 13-14-15 October It was stated that in 2015, the project technical support team's foreign experts will carry out current situation and needs analysis studies on vocational training for our city's tradesmen and craftsmen, our employees, managers and stakeholders.

The general goal of the project is; Increasing the adaptability of tradesmen and craftsmen in the changing economic environment. The specific goal of the project is; The aim is to develop the capacities of TESK, the Unions of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen in the pilot provinces, and the Training and Consultancy Centers in the provinces, and to train tradesmen and craftsmen.

Within the scope of the project, in addition to vocational training in the fields of metal, machinery and wood works, which are important sectors of our city, entrepreneurship, communication, customer relations, occupational health and safety, marketing-sales, business management, foreign trade, cost accounting, hygiene and other training programs for all business lines. It was explained that it is planned to organize short-term training programs on needed subjects.

After the information presentation, our Union President Ömer KÜSBEOĞLU and our Governor Ali YERLİKAYA cited the previous successful works of the Gaziantep Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Union on projects as an example and wished that the new project would be completed successfully and would be beneficial for our city and our country.

 

TRAINING OF TRADESMEN AND ARTIST MANAGERS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF ADAPTESK PROJECT

Within the scope of the Human Resources Development Operational Program with the co-financing of the Republic of Turkey and the European Union, under the coordination of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and of which the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen is the beneficiary, "Improving the Adaptability of Tradesmen and Craftsmen - ADAPTESK Project" Ankara, Gaziantep, Bursa, It is carried out by the Unions of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen in 8 pilot provinces such as Mersin, Şanlıurfa, Erzurum, Manisa and Ordu.

Within the scope of this 23-month project, sectoral, general and personal development trainings are organized in which a total of 23,250 tradesmen and craftsmen will directly participate. In Gaziantep, it is aimed for 3,180 tradesmen and craftsmen to directly benefit from these training programs. In addition to vocational training in the Metal, Machinery, Wood and Automotive sectors, general subjects such as Occupational Health and Safety, Hygiene, First Aid, Traffic, Environment and personal development such as Communication, Customer Satisfaction, Sales-Marketing, Foreign Trade, E-Commerce and Entrepreneurship. The trainings continue with the demands and intense participation of the members of our chambers affiliated to our Union. Certification is provided at the end of the training programs organized separately for the members of our chambers. As of the end of 2016, 2,000 Tradesmen and Craftsmen of Gaziantep directly benefited from the trainings on various subjects held in Gaziantep within the scope of the ADAPTESK Project and were documented.

Gaziantep and our neighboring provinces 

Training programs are also organized for the managers of the tradesmen organizations in Gaziantep and our neighboring provinces of Adana, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak and Siirt. In this context; A 2-day training program is organized at the Grand Hotel in Gaziantep on 22-23 December 2016.

1 day; İzzet ÇEVİK, Director of EDUSER Education Consultancy and Expertise Services Company and an expert who knows the Tradesmen organization closely, will give information about the place and importance of Tradesmen and Craftsmen in the National Economy, and the change and transformation needs of Tradesmen and Craftsmen. On the 2nd day; Hacettepe University Lecturer Cem KÜÇÜKTEPEPINAR will provide training on communication skills, good management skills and social skills.
