Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen


 

Definition of Artisan and Craftsman

Included in the tradesmen and craftsmen professions,
-Basing his economic activity on his physical work together with his capital,
-The amount of gains that do not qualify as a merchant or industrialist,
-Taxed or exempted from tax in a simple manner,
-The business is the people who are subject to the book in procedure, PROFESSIONAL AND ART OWNER.

ROOM RECORD


Tradesmen and craftsmen are obliged to register their status to the registry they are affiliated with within thirty days from the date they start working. Those who are determined not to fulfill this obligation are notified by the union to the relevant institutions and organizations authorized to issue licenses. Relevant institutions and organizations shall cease their activities until they are registered.
If the member has a fixed workplace; to the room where the workplaces are located
If the member does not have a fixed workplace: he/she is registered to the room where his/her legal residence is located.
Due to the same profession, it is not possible to register with the chambers of tradesmen and craftsmen and the chambers of commerce and industry. Members who are registered due to more than one profession are registered to the relevant specialization chambers separately and the registration fee is collected separately for each profession.


Municipalities; Tradesmen and craftsmen who want to open a business or engage in professional activities in order to be able to issue a license must ask for a certificate of registration and a certificate of the relevant chamber stating that they are members. Public institutions and organizations, municipalities, state economic enterprises, tradesmen and artisans credit and surety cooperatives and banks are obliged to request the relevant chamber document indicating that they are members in license, tender and credit transactions related to chamber members.
In this respect, it will be necessary to understand the public institutions and organizations to be applied when opening a business from the expression of the relevant institutions and organizations authorized to issue licenses. When opening a workplace, necessary permits and licenses are obtained from public institutions such as the tax office, relevant municipality, Social Security Institution, İş-Kur, and registration is made.
If the members of the chamber are trading a commodity subject to the stock exchange due to their profession, they can also register to the stock exchange.

TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP


The following conditions are required for chamber membership:
To be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey or to be a citizen of a foreign state, but to be engaged in art and trade in Turkey.
To have the capacity to exercise civil rights.
To be a taxpayer or to be exempt from tax.
Not being registered in the chambers of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

FOR MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATIONS TO BE DELETED


-The member is permanently out of the working area of the room,
- Losing any of the membership conditions or later understanding that he does not have any of these conditions,
- Dismissal from the profession,
- Failure to re-establish tax liability within six months, In the event of a decision, it is deleted by the board of directors.

Separation of Artisans and Merchants
Consensus committees are established in provinces and districts to resolve disputes that may arise between the chambers subject to Law No. 5362 or between these chambers and the chambers within the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges regarding the membership registration obligation.
In order to resolve disputes between the chambers of tradesmen and craftsmen regarding the obligation to register members, a committee is formed in the provinces and districts under the chairmanship of the civil administrator, with the participation of one representative of the relevant chambers and the Union.
If the membership dispute is between the Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen and the chambers within the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey; A committee is formed under the chairmanship of the civil chief, with the participation of one representative of the Union in the provinces, the relevant chamber and the chambers of commerce and industry in the districts.
Those concerned may appeal against the committee's decisions to the competent Civil Court of First Instance within ten days. The court's decision is final. Upon the final court decision, the relevant registry offices must take the necessary action on their records.
